Counselling and Psychotherapy from Borough & Canary Wharf

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here!

Reaching out for support takes courage, and just by landing on this page, you’ve already taken a meaningful first step. Whether you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, you’re not alone. This is a space where you’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect — a place where your experiences are honored, and your healing truly matters.

Being human isn't easy.

We all carry questions that quietly shape our lives:

Who am I, really?

Where do I belong?

How do I want to live?

Who do I want to share my life with?

Why did this happen to me?

These questions don’t always have clear answers. And sometimes, just asking them can stir up anxiety, sadness, or a deep sense of disconnection.

Maybe you're feeling alone—even when you’re surrounded by others.

Maybe you’re carrying a heaviness that’s hard to name.

Maybe you're stuck in old patterns, struggling through a breakup, or just trying to make sense of it all.

Whatever you're holding—know that it’s welcome here.

Therapy offers a space to breathe, reflect, and begin again.

It’s not about fixing you. It’s about listening, understanding, and discovering new ways of being—with yourself, with others, and with the life you want to create.

I work with young people and adults as they navigate these sensitive and often transformative moments. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, reconnect with your strengths, and gently uncover the life that feels most true to you.

You deserve support.

You deserve to feel like yourself again.

And you are welcome here.

As an expat myself, I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to supporting others navigating life across cultures.

  • Have you moved to a new country and found it hard to feel like you truly belong?
  • Are you back in your home country and feeling like a stranger there now?
  • Are you raising children abroad, and noticing how cultural differences shape your parenting — or challenge it
  • Maybe you’re a young adult who grew up between cultures, unsure where “home” really is.
  • Maybe you miss your life abroad... or miss home in a way that’s hard to explain.
  • Perhaps you find that language, identity, or cultural differences make it harder to connect — or to feel seen.

This is all part of the expat experience — and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

At Laura Serrani Counselling and Psychotherapy, I offer a space where all parts of your story are welcome — across languages, cultures, and identities.

As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both Italian and English, and can switch between them to support your self-expression and sense of self.
